Disk Usage

August 6th, 2016

Just wondering if there’s any good tools for measuring Disk Usage on Windows 7, or something to automatically delete any files that haven’t been used in a month or two.
My HD is only 93GB, so space is crucial to me. Installing Call of Duty 4 and WoW has taken up an additional 20GB to the 30GB I have from music. I can’t seem to figure out what else is using the other 43GB though besides a few pictures, OS, and some small programs.
Also, control panel doesn’t show program sizes…

System restore takes alot of space if you have it enabled , Other then that you can just run a custom search
for files that are at least in *x* size , puting 50000 wll search for files that are least 50MB in size , Also , Clear your
browser’s cache and temp directories (c:\users\username\local settings\temp and c:\windows\temp) , Other then
that you should seriously consider purchasing a new HD , They’re quite cheap nowadays
Edit : You shouldn’t disable system restore unless you use an alternative,Like a disk imaging program,Norton ghost,Acronis trueimage etc , Windows 7 actually have its own built-in disk imaging app , I think it only comes with the ultimate ver tho
