Is there a way to take a DVD and save the whole thing on my computer so i can watch it later?

Well, you can use DVDShrink. Also, you can rip the movie itself to your computer using this guide:

Also, software like PowerISO, ALcohol120%, etc allow you to make a perfect image of the DVD. You can then mount the image and use it to simulate the DVD. Everything can of course be found on the forum. Good luck mate ^_^

Those are the best programs to copy/clone a movie to your hard drive. Unlike others, they actually work on encrypted movies. To save space, use the Main Movie option. Good luck!
