Android Tablet questions

Alright,i am planning to buy this 7″ Android tablet:

Its the only one available in our country(Pakistan) so i have some questions:
1.Will i be able to run android apps on it?
2.its running Android 1.5.Do you think it is outdated and can it be upgraded?
3.Also where can i download android 1.5 apps(site)?
3.Can it be used as a cell phone.
i would be thankful to anyone who can answer these(or any) question(s)

Why can you only get that tablet?
Can’t you use sites like ebay/amazon/bestbuy etc. to get better tablets and then let them ship it to you?
1. ofc it will run android apps
2. it’s outdated indeed so the amount of programs will be very limited.
3. Where to download apps, hmm dono
4. havents seen the tablet(to lazy to click the link) but if it has wifi you can use skype, if it has 3g you can use it as a phone(BIG PHONE…)
If it can be upgraded to a higher version of android??? Depends if anyone has done it already, it’s not easy @ all to upgrade it to a higher version.

i can’t use other sites like ebay/amazon/newegg because they want paypal and paypal is not in our country.
it supports youtube,skype,facebook e.t.c .But i mainly want it for reading PDF’s and running apps

Until someone builds Android 2.2 (or any other Android version) especially for the aPad/iRobot, and posts some update instructions, we're stuck with 1.5
The first to do this would likely be the manufacurer, if not some �bergeek devotes some time and effort to the task (and gets the hardware specific drivers and stuff from the hardware manufacturer).
Not that that's really a bad thing - I haven't really seen that much improvement in the more recent Android versions, besides the fact that some apps (some of them quite unnecessarily) require later Android versions. Froyo / 2.2 with its substantial performace improvement would be nice tho...
