Ripping a DVD

Not only proper DVD’s, but ones made for like wedding videos and stuff with the audio and video_TS folders on the cd. What is the best way to rip these to the computer to a single format like .avi or something? Thanks.

I think 4Videosoft DVD RIpper Platinum is the best.. It works fine for me..

The best and fastest method with very high quality is to use a prog like AnyDVD or DVDFab and then AutoGK or Handbrake. With AnyDVD or DVDFab you make an exact copy from the DVD to your harddrive. With AutoGK or Handbrake you can make a single avi, mkv or mp4 file from this! Don’t use programs like ImToo DVD ripper, Magic Dvd ripper, Riverpast DVD ripper,… because they are slower and don’t have the same quality.

AVS Video Converter is kinda best for me.. if you use a HD Camera.. check your res.. if it’s 1080p.. you can convert it to 1080p.. and plus.. just add the first file only.. and currently, I’ve made a 1080p using 720p.. there are a bit hidden quality.. so, I lured them out!

For encoding to avi/mkv/etc:
– Megui (maybe only for people who know a thing or two about it)
– Handbrake
– AutoGK
– Sorenson Squeeze 6 (never used it, but some say it’s good for H264 encoding)
But you need to make an exact copy to your harddisk first and rmove any FBI/ad clips and security stuff. Use:
– AnyDVD
– DVD Decrypter
