is there a list to most known ads/popups?

i want to add them to my Block Content for Opera 9
(i am trying to replace Adblocker that i once had in firefox )

the file has 14,809 entries
it came with my TinyXP install and it’s called ” Web Page Advert Blocking ”
in most cases I get “can not load page” errors where add’s would appear
at the very least you can use the listing to add to your list
all you need to do is copy & save your “hosts” file then replace it with this one to try it
this file can also be edited to add more sites

curious though, do i have to worry about any problems on my pc coming from the host files or it should be safe to use?
