What is a repack when it comes to games?

And how does it compare to full rips/rips?

Well,hm for example lets take PES.Uploader remove extra files like spanish,franch etc languages and then upload again and games comes to up to 1 gb less than before:)I hope i helped you,cant type a lot i am sleepy

Ah i see i thought that was the process of “ripping” language, not repacking.

no repacking can be ripping any files from the original untouched iso/disk then repacking it to save space/tweak etc..

Ahhh i see, so when cutscenes are downsampled, that means they were “ripped” then downsized, then “repacked”, to make the file size smaller right? but, i’ve seen full rips with downsampled cutscenes, and they’re still called full rips, because nothing was removed, except the quality being less for the cutscenes. Are the people calling their uploads full rips really wrong in the sense that it’s actually a repack?

people call it whatever they want to be honest…most of the time there right…but not always…people say 720p when its not full 720p etc…

Hm, so i’m gonna go ahead and associate “full rips” and “repacks” as the same thing then, if that’s correct. Everything is still there, unlike with rips. Thank you for clearing that up
