Prototype on an NvIDIA GTX 275

Hi folks, I’ve been running on an i5 – 4GB DDR3 – GTX 275 build for 5 months now and every game I’ve thrown at it runs almost maxed out at 1920 with VSYNC on. That was until I ran Prototype. For some reason or another I’m getting lagged frames throughout… I dropped the settings down to minimum on 800 x 600 and the same form of choppy play exists.
And yes, I do have the latest driver’s installed for my card… I’m running on XP-which works with direct x 9. My only explanation’s are that the game has a problem with the GTX 275, or that Prototype’s not Direct X 9 friendly–which makes no sense at this moment in time.
Or then the next explanation could be that the RIP copy I have has an issue… Anyone else experience this?
Any ideas folks? Appreciated.

Try a reinstall or download a different copy of the game
Full ISO are the best to go for
