PSP custom firmware and stuff

January 28th, 2020

Basically 5.03GEN-C doesn’t install anymore, I have no idea why. It used to run great until this morning when it ran out of battery and shut down. This is what I’m doing:
1. I start with the PSP3000 running official 5.03 firmware
2. I run ChickHENR2
3. The firmware changes to “5.03 ChickHEN R2”
4. I run CFW Enabler 3.60 (I tried 3.70, too, nothing different)
5. The firmware changes to “5.03 MHU”
6. I run GEN-C. It shows me a black screen saying “Now reboot your PSP in CFW 5.03GEN-C”
7. The firmware is still “5.03 MHU”
Now I can’t play games like Tekken 6 and Assassin’s Creed, AC gives me an error saying “The could not be started (80020148)” and Tekken 6 only shows a black screen
Please help :p
Thanks

Answer #1
you can’t install CFW on a PSP-3000
you need the CFW enabler and play patched isos
most psp game topics also offer patched games for lower FW versions
Answer #2
Yes I can, if you read carefully, you will see I said it used to work
EDIT: I got it to work by skipping the CFW Enabler part, thanks for trying to help though :p
Answer #3
jah it only works as long as you don’t turn off the psp
try to fully turn off the psp and try it all again (holde the power slider up untill t fully turns off)
and
try these nesw installers:

Answer #4
It works as long as I don’t hard-shutdown the PSP, I don’t mind soft-shutting down
I tried that stuff before posting this topic but it didn’t work:p
Anyway read the edit in my post above
