Laptop Sound?

Hi,
When I used to use my dads laptop, the sound worked fine, using Sigmatel Audio.
yesterday my dad formatted the laptop and now there isnt any sound, no hardware found.
we have formatted it before and the sound worked.
any suggestions?

just resinstall the drivers.

I have read there arent any drivers for sigmatel. and i didnt last time.

You need to install the chipset drivers before your sound card get detected by windows…
