Xp Freezes after login.

January 27th, 2020

As of today my computer running windows xp will boot just fine, I’ll log in it will show the desktop and the start bar but after this point it will freeze. I can move the mouse and that is about it. Occasionally it will not freeze and runs just fine after that, here are some things I have tried:
-Disabling all startup programs
-Used CCleaner to fix any registry errors
-restored to yesterday
-ran a virus scan
-checked all drivers
-scanned through the event viewer
-cleaned out the inside of the computer
-removed both ram sticks and tested them
so far nothing has worked
my computer was running just fine for over a year now and has had no problems.
To be clear it runs just fine in safe mode. No problems there.
Any help would be appreciated.

Answer #1
Did you check your MOBO ?
Answer #2
Motherboard seems fine, I don’t get any post errors, it certainly isn’t overheating, and runs fine in safe mode.
Answer #3
I believe is hardware failure, It has too much issues to caused pc freeze. So I can’t tell exactly.
Answer #4
Well as of right now I am posting this from the computer that is having aforementioned issues, and it seems to be running just fine, all start up processes were enabled when I did this, I don’t believe it is hardware failure, the parts are relatively new, only a year and a half or so, and it is a custom build.

Checked drivers how? Just because there is no ? in device manager does not mean all is ok. Did you install recent updates that was hardware related? Did you unistall or install something and power down before all was done? Second virus scan does not solve all. Did you run multiple tests? As in eset malwarebytes panda cloud hitmanpro? some find things others dont.
