Help with my Website (Malware Infected)

February 4th, 2020

I had an Email from Google today saying they’ve put a Warning page on my Website because of Malware…
I got intouch with my Host and they said to download the public_html file from the FTP and Scan it, so I did, with Bitdefender…
some files came up as Password Protected but they were original files for some Components and Modules for Joomla etc,
so I got back intouch with them and they said to email their Support, so I did, and had an email back saying they cant do anything and to get hold of some Web Developers or something? :-/
anyone, just wondering if anyone on here can help?
obviously I dont want a big red Warning page as soon as someone goes onto my Website as we use it for our Work (we’re Graphic Designers)
if anyone can help out it’ll be appreciated, alot!!

Well this is mine..
http://www.urbankaos.co.uk
when clicking the main image to get to the Site itself,
the Warning page comes up,
but i’ve scanned all the public_html file and nothing came up,
just files that were ZIP files are were password protected so Bitdefender couldnt Scan.
Answer #5
As flwless said, try Malwarebytes – if anything is present it will find it.
Answer #6
are you running ads on the site to help pay the bill? Also google for any security holes in joomla that could have been used to remotely install mods that infect users as they view the site.
I’d back up the sql database and wipe out every joomla file in there and reinstall your current version restore to a new database then patch the hell out of joomla
Answer #7
Nope, we just pay 30 something a year for the Hosting, Joomla is free with the package, no Ads on the Website at all…
and i’ve had this Website for about 2 years now, and never had any problems, all I have on there is Designs mostly so not sure what’s up with it.
Answer #8
Ok downloaded and scanned the public_html with Malwarebytes
it just finished and was successful and nothing was found…
so im pretty lost now how Google put a Warning up and nothing has been found..
