Vista Re-Install on genuine laptop

August 3rd, 2016

Hi Guys
Been given a laptop to fix with a broken Windows Vista install. The original restore discs are nowhere to be found so I’m looking for a Windows Vista Home Basic OEMAct (acording to the genuine sticker underneath). Is there a specific OEM disc I need to get or will it do it all from the key ?? Help!

if you have a genuine key wich came with the laptop and your cd is broken you can use a downloaded version of OEM (OEM it is a disc that is sold with the pc and RETAIL its the one that you can buy without a pc) disc and the key will work because generaly you are paying for the cd-key not the CD.

It’s all there.

You can use any vista ultimate iso….download one of the oem cracks…extract the $OEM$ folder asus’ dell or what ever is your model…and just open the iso with ulraiso and copy the $OEM$ to the Sources folder…\Sources\$OEM$
save the iso and burn…use your original key to install…
anyway the key is no big deal..it could be the same as all those oem keys you can find aground the net….the oem ID identifier is written in the laptop bios…
