burning dvd iso

January 26th, 2020

i was asking around to see how i could burn dvds at the same quality it would be if i bought the dvd. Some people recommended i search for DVDRs and so i did. I have downloaded one and extracted it and it is an iso file. If i burn this ISO file to a dvd, will it be playable on a dvd player? and if it doesnt, what am i meant to do with the iso then?

Yeah it will be playable. It’s an exact copy of the DVD you extracted the ISO from. But always keep in mind to burn the ISO image file as an image. You could use imgburn or Nero..

Agreed + burn on lower speed because laser from dvd players are more sensitive than lasers on computer drive.

Ignore Nero Burning Rom. Go for Nero express which should be included in the Nero programs list. Here’s the steps.
Start -> Programs -> Nero Express -> Image, Project, Copy -> Disc Image or Saved Project -> Pick your ISO file -> Start burning.

Nero is a great big fat bloated piece of software which I dumped years ago.
ImgBurn (as others have mentioned) is Freeware and an excellent choice for burning image files like ISO’s.
