My car radio wont work

August 4th, 2016

Well i just replaced the car battery in my ford fiesta and now the radio wont work. It doesnt say CODE either, it doesnt turn on. I called my local dealer, who told me theyd charge me 60 pounds to fix it for me so im kind of looking for a cheaper option. Does anyone have any clues on what i have to do?

Check the fuse for the radio/stereo. Mine died a few weeks back, I’ve just been too lazy to replace the fuse.

i dont suppose you’d know which fuse it is… is it labelled? are there any good car forums where they might be able to help me more?

If its a ford, your fuse should be with the fuse for lights (most vehicles do). On the left side – the driver side for North American cars there shud be a box with all the color coded connections. One of the connections is not good (check it by jiggling the wires) or it is not connected at all (this shud be easy as it wud have one wire loose).
This happened in my Toyota too. Worked for me, hopefully it does for u 2….All the best!

In my car there’s a little panel near the driver’s-side door. Behind the panel there’s about 15-20 fuses, they’re labelled ‘lights, lighter, radio etc’ The fuses are different colors, which relates to their power handling. You just need to find the one that says radio or audio and replace it with the same.
Google ‘ford fiesta fuses’ and you’ll find a stack of stuff, narrow the search down by year and model and you should get some help.
Good luck.

if you changed the battery you need toi enter the 4 digit code, even if it dosnt say you need to enter it it wont start working again untill your imput the code, so even if it is another problem aswell you will still need the code
