i have xp 64 gamers edition on my comp, which is only sp1. i downloaded a Vista 64 retail ISO that has all the versions of Vista on it, so i click through to the version i want, which is home premium, and then right when it’s copying the files, the first step, it gets to 50% then it says cannot extract files because they are corrupt or not there, so i downloaded another ISO that was only home premium, and when i run that, it says cannot find the file. i have tried two different ISO’s with the retail version with the same result. so i would like to know if there is a version of vista that i can install without burning it to a DVD or a way to fix that error, i have looked all over the net for solutions and it seems that many people are having that problem, any help will be appreciated, thanks
comp specs:
40 + 150 gb HDD
3.3 ghz pentium D
3870 HD 512 MB RAM Video Card
1.5 GB RAM
if you need to know any other info, feel free to ask

That error happens when the setup can’t read the files from Vista DVD…Burn at low speed that might work…

i can’t burn, i don’t have a DVD, i mounted with daemon tools, or extracted the ISO and ran the .exe, both ways i have tried
