[SOLVED]Can’T get PS3 to see my Media server

September 1st, 2013

Can’t get the PS3 to see my media server and i can’t even see my ps3 as an unkown device either.
Tried google but they all come up with the same options over and over again and just none of them work.
Also something has come across them problem before? Or there just a little bit more better at goggling because im starting to get really pissed of.
IM using windows 7
PS3 is connected through wire lan.
EDIT: After about 6hours of googling and coming to no Avail. I finally
figured out what it was. ESET for somereason was installed on my
computer from 2years ago, somehow its firewall must of been blocking the
PS3.

ps3 seeing media servers is a pain. You will have to run your media server in dnla server, for the ps3 to see it.

1. That’ll take an extra 10minutes of wasting my time for everything i wan’t to watch or listen to.
2. I’ll need to spend more money on external hardrives
3. I wan’t to use my Dam network for a media server.
