[Solved] How can I download torrents faster using Flashget?

At the moment I’m using Flashget to download torrents as I don’t want to install any new programs at the moment.
Is there anyway I can change settings to make it download faster? I know torrents are like P-2-P but I’m downloading pretty slow – with the average download speed being 23KB/s even though I’m on 20 Meg broadband. It’ll take me a couple of hours to get a 175MB file.
Any help will be greatly appreciated!

Use uTorrent. You don’t even have to install it. If possible, get invited to a private tracker, you’ll get much faster speeds there. Also, forward your ports if you’re connected to the internet via a router.

Torrents can be slow most public sites like Mininova Piratebay are just full of hit and run peeps, like 100 leachers and 10 seeders always spells slow speeds. Like said above get invited to good private tracker and you will have lots of seeders per torrent. I agree UTorrent in my opinion is tops.
