RS Linklist wierd problem…

August 5th, 2016

I recently logged into my RS account and saw that all of the links in my greenday discog thread have a weird linklist text next to it…
Image
When clicked on, it leads to this page http://~ Folders are not allowed ~/R38L52

I have never messed around with linklist before – and this has only recently (in the last few hours) appeared… Anybody know what it is, who it is, is it harmful, being leeched… ect ect
Google translate says that propali slucaj’s link list is translated to the failed case’s link list (Croatian)
My account is shared with my 2 brothers, but only i have the access code to unlock it all…

Someone else posed(?) this problem

afaik they don’t get any points, they don’t stop you getn points, its just a bit creepy, if it bugs you delete and reup and repost.
create your own rs folder and copy that link into it, you’ll then find your folder name along side this invader.

Looks like some one has created a linklist and pasted your link into his folder, rather than someone has hacked your account.
I've posted links in another forum and a couple of days later had unknown folder names appear by the linklist.
Not quite sure why they do this cos (99% sure) it doesn't earn them any points, or stop you getting any points.
Even though (afaik) it didn't affect my rs usage I found it most creepy and simply deleted the file and reupped it.
Did you post the link into(?) a number of forums, or just here.
Question
[edit] if you go to you rs main page, create a link list, and paste a couple of your links into this listlist~ Folders are not allowed ~, then you'll see the same thing happening.

Hey thanks – i ran a search but didnt get anything,
I see what you mean…so – theoretically if he has posted my links somewhere via a linklist, i will benefit points-wise for each download….

99%ish sure that yup if he post his linklist someplace and so gives access to your links to people inhabiting that place then yup you’ll get the points. Just don’t see the point of linklists. Still find it creepy tho. Did a test whereby I got someone to linklist a file of mine, then when I downloaded it as a free user I got a point for the download and I don’t think that someone did. Its still damn creepy tho.
It’s likely your mflinklister inhabits a single board so if you ever find that board you can either (1) not post there no more or (2) upp it twice, post A everywhere but there, post B there and when B gets fkt update post with A. I do option2 and the mf has never relinklisted an updated post
Yes (2) is a lot of effort especially if they’re 200MB files, guess it depends upon how creeped out you are, and I get co v.easily
