UpGrading Hard drive

February 1st, 2020

Ok i may upgrade my harddrive form 40 to 160 gb but i dont know if i have to install xp again and if i do how my computer didn’t come with a cd
Answer #1
grab “Acronis True Image” and image the 40 and restore it to the 160
think that will create a 40gig partition so you will have to partition the rest of the drive manually
not sure but I think you will need to set the drive to “active” for it to boot
and after restoring to the 160 be sure it’s the 1st boot device
Answer #2
For the best results a reinstall is required.
Partition it then reinstall.
