Two questions – Paypal / Linux

August 5th, 2016

Hi guys,
First Question:
I did some jobs for a online ‘friend’ (someone I’ve never actually met); he said he would pay me for doing these jobs. I’ve never actually received money via PayPal and I’m always un-certain when handing out details to people I don’t know. So, my question is: Which of my Paypal details must I give this person in order to receive the money? and secondly, Which of my details will he get when he sends the money? For example, would he only see the ID he sends it to, or would he also see my address, name, phone number etc.
Second Question:
I recently created a forum board using phpBB3, annoyingly I made a folder called /forums/ in the web directory (/www/) so after installing I now have two folders /forums/phpBB3 which is obviously rather annoying when trying to visit the forums (looks like a stupid URL.) Does anyone know how to merge these two folders so it just appears as /forums/, e.g. www.domain.com/forums/
Thanks to any help you can provide to either question.

Answer #1
About your Paypal question:
Your friend will need your e-mail address (the same that you used to register Paypal, of course).
About your Forum question:
You can just move the files from the phpBB3 folder to the forum folder. You have to configure the new board location somewhere in phpBB3

Edit: Obviously having a mental block regarding linux, wasn’t exactly a challenge rofl.
Ok, thanks.
Any idea as to what details he gets or is the e-mail address all he gets? I seem to remember hearing / reading something somewhere that he gets my full name and I get all his details? Not entirely sure, so don’t quote me lol.
