Help with Mac and figuring out if the program is running…

August 3rd, 2013

I used to have my mac show my bar vertically and what was good about it was that when I closed the programs it showed a white dot that indicated that it was still running in the background. When I switched to horizontal mode it doesn’t indicate anything, the only thing I have to do to make sure it’s not running it close it and right click it and click quit.
How do I make it where I can have those white dots in horizontal mode? Or at least check to see what processes are running easily?
Thanks.

Don’t know much about mac, but activity monitor will show you if the process is running. Not sure if that constitutes “easily”.
