extreme mouse/fps lag in any dx10 game
August 4th, 2016
i seriously doubt it should lag in any game
back when i used xp everything was fine no lag at all everything maxed out and all. now in vista whenever i play something on directx 10 settings i get a huge lag all the time. stalker clear sky doesnt lag at all if i dont use enhanced lighting dx10. when i do i get extreme lag. y?? also assasins creed doesnt lag at dx9 when in dx10 lags alot.. fallout 3 mass effect prototype and other recent games dont lag at all. only dx10 games lag. stormrise is unplayable with all the lag and the graphic of the game itself is not that good i should run it no problem…y do i lag so much??
please some1 help me
im on windows vista 32 bit home premium…please help…
should i update stuff?? dx10 is up to date
should i arrange settings from sumwer to adjust to 32bit? i dont understand
You’re video card is too weak to run this games maxed out
9600gt 1gb? are you sure? daaaaamn that sucks
y is it that i can run everything maxed out dx9.0c perfectly and then fail at dx10 on vista… i dnt kno i blame vista…the graphics dont change that much…i tink theres something incompatible. if the gfx card was weak i dont tink it would have no problem crysis maxed out dx9c
1GB DDR2 memory….that explains everything…
-.- its 4gb ddr2 memory man wtf?
1gb is the gpu memory
1GB DDR2 memory on ur graphics card.
DDR2 gpu memory is very slow.
Get some GDDR3 or GDDR5.
well since im broke i cant….but if its so slow and weak y doesnt give me any trouble with any dx9 game maxed out? is dx10 soooo different?
It is, dx10 is next generation.
Wondering. Do you have a CRT monitor?
Edit: should probably give a reason why I said that.
DirectX10 automatically defaults itself to 60Hz refresh rate which cannot be changed in game needs to be changed within the Nvidia or Catalyst control panel. So on any screen which has got a refresh rate higher than 60Hz (usually CRTs and high end LCD/Plasma TVs) you’ll get horrible input lag with default settings as it is.
9600GT is GDDR3 not DDR2
so your OK there
9600GT is a low end mid-range card so turning some setting down might help
you on the latest drivers ?
grab FRAPS in appz section to monitor FPS, to see what your tweaking is doing to performance
try lowering/disabling some settings in the 3D settings of the drivers and game to see if it helps
then bring them back one setting at a time
or
the main culprit is probably anti-aliasing so try disabling that 1st then bring it back up in increments till it starts lagging again
^That is an older verison which supports DX9 not DX10 so its DDR2
