Viewing other people files

August 23rd, 2013

Is it possible to view other people files on their computer without them knowing?
If so how?

Answer #1
well pretend if you’re at home and you’re share internet (home network), then you you can go to “network” (it should be along the left side when you open my computer) and you should see other people who are connected to taht network. then just click on their computer name and tada you can go through most of their files
you’re such a sneak
i wonder what you’re gonna do with this. another way would be to get their computer when they’re not home and look at the files directly xD
Answer #2
just point of interest and it’s not in the network itself but over the internet
Answer #3
you can use a remote access program.
There’s a couple out there, but because you seem sneaky to me, that’s all the help I’m going to give you.
You can use google to get to where you gotta go with this.
I’m always interested to see why the people that posts these things, want to do it. But they never post why, hence they always get limited help
Answer #4
there’s a guy saying he has such a kind of tool, but when i ask him after the name or i pass by he always says he can’t do it at the moment. So i thought he was lying but seems now there are such things and so my question is answered
Answer #5
ahh ok. in order for a remote access program to work
it has to have a ‘server’ program on the computer that needs to be accessed and a ‘client’ program from the computer that your work colleague will be using.
windows 7 has a remote access program that comes with it
so unless your colleague is accessing a friend’s computer that has knowledge of what he is doing, or whether he has been acting shady and installing things onto their computer while they weren’t looking, you can make up your own mind.
But that’s how that would work. Now you have some knowledge, that gives you a better hand against your colleague.

lancelot replied: so they cant acces the computer without accepting on the remotable computer ?
yes
Answer #8
as Gjoksi says, yes that’s correct.
a connection has to be started between the two before one can control someone elses computer.
however, if your tricky enough you can hide the ‘ACCEPTING BUTTON’ (so to speak) inside a program, so that the person has no idea they are accepting a remote connection.
We all like to call this, a trojan.
Now this thread is bordering on cracking and the pathway for malicious activity, I’m going to bow out now.
Hope I helped you out here, lancelot
Answer #9
I won’t go into details due to the fact that it’s prohibited to do so here, but basically the only way to do this is with a remote access program.
How you make them “install” it is down to you, but again; I won’t go into details.
Unless you’re incredibly computer-savvy (or the subject is incredibly stupid), there is little to no chance of being able to do this.
There certainly isn’t a way to do this legally.
Answer #10
just like I said, thanks wise-san
Answer #11
thx for the help all! now i know i dont hqve to be afraid
Answer #12
or they could use rootkit or backtrack. In that case they dont have to use remote access software.
cheers
