New computer, how do I make sure it’s running in tiptop shap

January 24th, 2020

*shape.
Ok so I got a new laptop a few weeks ago, proceeded to install a ton of things and download a bunch of stuff. Pretty sure I’m virus free and all that, but is there a way to make sure everything is okay and not making conflicts or anythign?

Answer #1
Don’t download stuff you don’t think you’ll need. The best way is to not use your computer, but obviously you can’t do that.
Just make sure you take care of your computer, if it starts to heat up, give it a break, if it is slowing down more than usual, give it a break.
Answer #2
i hope you installed windows fresh on her that’s the best way rather than the stuff you get with it =D
Answer #3
You can post a hijack this log to show most of the system activity , as the last poster suggested the best way is by noticing the performance of your machine especialy after a few hours of use , you will soon see what the story is.
Answer #4
it stays stable for quite a few hours

No, I did not. but I removed all the bloatware
Answer #7
Make an image backup asap. If anything goes wrong you can have the setup back in under 10 mins. Easy no?
Answer #8
Get CCleaner, its freeware and deletes all the crap programs make when they are run and its not deleted by Windows so it can accumulate. I use CCleaner to remove like 5GBs every 2 weeks or so. Get a good security combo, like Avira + SuperAntiSpyware + Malwarebytes + Comodo Firewall. I also suggest making an image of your current drive, use Acronis to make it.
