Types of Speakers for music and gaming

hey guys
need some help with speakers for a gaming or music system for my room
i have a ps3 a macbook pro (with a 5,1 migula firewire external soundcard) a tv that i would be using to connect with
i’m looking at possiable a 2,1 or 5,1 that gives surround sound even if its the fake type
i got a budget of �250 so bose companion 5’s are out unfortunatly
any help is really appreacted

I have these logitech speakers that I got for like 90 bucks a couple of years ago, and they work fine, and i have had some good luck with logitech lately

Obviously you want to spend more money than that because they are like 70 dollars and only 70 watts, you can get the next step up which are that 155 watts.

They are just a good all around speakers and i haven’t had a problem with them as a matter of fact my two friends went out and bought them and they like them too,
it will save you a few bucks from bose, the you can buy your girlfriend some flowers or something.

ooo thanks i was looking at them and their big brothers the Z5500s only snag i found was the distance to other computers the 10cms – 60cms what others av ppl got one i been really liking was any fatman ones any one got them for gaming or movies or music ?
