left 4 dead 2 problem. is it just me?

i just got a new pc last week. HP elite – 1 TB HD, 8GB RAM , nvidia G force. so yeah i would assume left 4 dead 2 would work on here. i got it to run on my laptop that was pretty crappy compared to this one. but now when i try to load it. its just black. and i have to do a hard shut down . i have tried like 4 different copies. thinking maybe the rip was bad. but they all give me the same problem. i tried the one i had working on my old laptop and it doesnt work either.
is it my PC? am i just ~ censored ~ ?–[haha you censored that? lol] and not doing something right even though i got it to run before? lol. i am so frustrated. any help would be awesome thanks

agh also forgot to say i was using windows 7 64 bit. that would be helpful to mention that. haha. sorry..

same process?
if you try running without the crack does it crash or does it come up with an error? you may need a different crack
also make sure you have drivers updated, directx, c++ redistributable 2008.

everything is up to date. i don’t think the problem is the crack either because i’ve tried many copies and they worked on my other PC. which. had XP so i was wondering if maybe its a windows 7 64 bit issue? ;/ ugh. i have been trying for the past few days to figure it out but i can’t!! thanks for your reply though
