Reformating urgent

Hi I just bought a computer today all it has come is with the base unit so I booted it up and its very slow and I would like to install a copy of windows xp on it fresh install.
Now the problem is I don’t have any of the CD’s. I know how to install Xp using the boot cd option.
But how will I get the drivers? how can I back them up pleaswe help

Yea…Find out what hardware you have first….especially the motherboard and download all the drivers before proceeding….

For backup use Norton Ghost or Acronis True Image…or even better get yourself Hiren’s BootCD it includes both and all the tools you can handle…

Backing up the drivers can also b done if u hav a blank disc or a flash drive.

you jsut copy paste the installers for the drivers on to ur drive and then u insert the drive after ur xp installation and installer ur drivers
or you can use nero or something to burn it onto a disc and run the isntaller from ur disc after the xp installation
make sure u have ur mother baord and video card drivers b4 u start reformatting
