Did you know? i5’s…

January 20th, 2020

All except the 750 are not quad-core, they are only dual core with dual virtual cores. Why did they do that? Why is Hyper-Threading not on the 750? Why on earth do some websites say it is?
Answer #1
Core i5 750 does have hyperthreading. Always better to check the official documents:

You DO have to be careful with Intel chips. They may be good, but features seem to be turned on or off indiscriminately.

Where did you read that the i5 750 has hyper threading? I read all that and didn’t find it anywhere in there. The intel site I went to for the i5 750 says it doesn’t have hyper threading.

You are reading something wrong, the links you provide also state that core i5 750 doesn’t have hyperthreading.

This is what Intel did…. They made the i5 750 w/ quad core and no hyper threading and the other, newer i5’s have dual-core but have hyper threading enabled so it makes them essentially quad core (having 2 physical cores + 2 virtual cores). What kind of crapola is that? Is there a way to enable the HT on the i5 750?
This is an amazing comparison between the top CPU’s right now. Pretty interesting how the i7 870 out performs the i7 975 in some tests. The i5 750 is still in very close competition and in the top 4 on all the tests.

Intel didn’t release any processors containing i9 in their name, afaik i9 maybe the name for the upcoming six-core series Intel will release.
