PS CS4 lag?

hey jus wanna know why does CS4 lags on my laptop whereas CS3 Extended works absolutely fine??
its like the actual brush paint is way behind the cursor when appling!!\
its also slow!! why is that .. any guesses!!

your laptop probably isnt powerful enough to run CS4 (need a lot more cpu/gpu power than CS3)
whats your laptops specs?

CS4 is more CPU/GPU dependant if you have a Graphic Card that Supports OpenGL turn it on it will improve the Speed by alot. The size of your image also determines the speed. Make it smaller so the Brush wont experience so much of a lag.
