My mate is making a new website for their rock band now,
I know it doesn’t look pretty and all but, I wondered if you guys could help us out with checking the spelling/grammar on the website ? It just takes 5 min out of your time !!

oh dude. you’re not gonna get any hits on that site, except for people on this site helping you fix your spelling
I know you’re not looking for it yet but, Here’s some tips:
make a myspace Music page
http://www.myspace.com/music
make a twitmusic (and twitter and facebook account)
http://twitmusic.com/
and lastly, make a soundcloud account
http://soundcloud.com/
then go to loginradius and sort yourself out some social logins for your site
http://www.loginradius.com/
then to go wordpress and sort yourself out a professional looking site
http://wordpress.com/
And since wordpress is a blogging engine, you can blog about the bands thoughts and misdemeanours
then put a nice template on it
http://wordpress.org/extend/themes/
and add the loginradius plugin to your site
http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/loginradius-for-wordpress/
Hereafter, post all of your music/ covers (that you don’t mind giving out for free) on twitmusic, myspace and soundcloud
and link people back and forth between your website, twitmusic, myspace page and soundcloud
it sounds long winded, but it should take you about 24 hours max to put it all together.
then just remember to post all the cool stuff you do to all those sites (you get used to it)
and tell people about all your pages at your gigs.
and… instead of ambiance, use the word ‘atmosphere’ in a similar way to this.
‘We play our own music but also cover a few rock classics to complete the atmosphere’
