Jailbrake iPod Touch

So I downloaded blaclra1n and did all the steps, but the program says “waiting for device…” and my iPod isn’t doing anything. So what do I do?

is your USB port 1.0 or 2.0? USB 1.0 does not work with blackra1n

Try few more times… Change USB port, restart your PC/Laptop….

You’re wrong.
blackra1n will jailbreak any iDevice, however it’s tethered for the iPhone 3G[S] and 3rd gen iPod Touch.

It’s the 1st generation 8gb. It was jailbroken at first and then by mistake I updated the software

If you’re using it on Vista/7, try running it in compatibility mode. Make sure iTunes is installed properly. Blackra1n does not work without iTunes.

Well, it dint work for me when I tried. I had to install iTunes to get it to work. I guess our experiences vary, mate.

i tried it without iTunes and it did not work. You have to have iTunes for blackra1n to work

Guys IT WORKS, i Have iPhone 3G 16GB and 3Gs 32GB and I had iPod TOuch and it works after JB you will need iTunes of course and you need iTunes aswell for restore … Cheers!

Well, it dint work for me, mate. I had to install iTunes for Blackra1n to work. Else it wouldn’t detect my iPod Touch. Installing iTunes fixed that.
