Burning MKV to DVD?
January 26th, 2020
Everyone keeps releasing MKV format my Nero 7 doesn’t burn MKV i always have to use a 3rd party tool to convert and then i end up messing up the quality or the video and audio and never sync’ed
What's the good software that can burn a MKV without having to Convert the file?
Any! (Just burn it in data mode)
But do note that it will NOT play on your DVD Player that way.
You’d have to convert it for that (And risk losing quality)
The most popular app for this task is convertxtodvd.
To be honest, You’d be best just getting on with modern times and buy an HD Media Player.
If you’ll have that, You wouldn’t need to convert anything and you’ll maintain the original quality!
But you gotta have an HD TV too to make the most of it of course. Anyways, With such players, You just plug a flash drive or an external HDD to em and it plays the file directly! Some of em also support Ethernet.
That HD Media Player sounds like a plan any of you guys know of some under like $75 that have HDMI hook-up and maybe can store movies on? I saw Western Digital WD TV Live Streaming Media Player their like $65 on ebay just trying to see what i can get under $75 i’d really like to get something that would save time my parents like to watch movies and stuff so
i have the old school WD HD media player from about 4-5 years ago… cant beat it have a 1tb ext hdd that plugs into it…store all the mkv blurays on it plays 1080p right on your tv with HDMI cable…or you can do the pc set up….most new pc’s have hdmi hookup play your mkv in vlc player full screen and enjoy it FS on your tv…i do it for 3d movies blurays and i get on streaming sites…cant beat it…noone burns dvds anymore convertxtodvd is a great program but its doing something outdated.. if its a kids room or something and you want a couple kids movies on a disk for there 15″tv then its perfect anything else use a ext or a pc…and honestly generic ones flood the market i bought my friends a generic one for there tv and it will mkv’s that same as my WD and you could not tell the difference (although the interface wasnt as clean and nice) but was 40$ and you can pick up ext cheap now…but even older WD ones work great..this is what i use http://www.ebay.com/itm/WD-Western-Digital-TV-HD-Media-Player-WDBABF0000NBK-WDBABG0000NBK-/261270117357?pt=US_Internet_Media_Streamers&hash=item3cd4e99bed
Well, There’s this one:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16815293015
It doesn’t come with an HDMI cable tho, Which will cost you a few dollars extra.
But again, It’d have to be used along with a flash drive or an external hard drive (Preferably a 2.5″ one)
You just put the Movie/Show on it, Connect to the media player and play it from there!
The vast majority of HMP’s don’t come with an internal hard drive (Nor support one) as it’s practically useless.
HMP’s are used strictly to view content that is manually provided to em, It’s not like a cable box that you can watch a show and then record it (If it has that function and an internal HDD) An HMP will not fetch the content for you, You have to provide it (Means there’s no need for a recording function) an Internal HDD in this case would only be usable with Ethernet (So you could copy files to it from your computer) so there’s not much of a point really. And those that support Ethernet usually support streaming too.
Just use your Laptop with HDMI port and your favorite player as mentioned above….. Easiest and cheepest way.
Though, having the other option would be nice….
I wonder if there are any TV’s that have that option yet, plug in your flash or external drive and watch away…. Haa haa, that would be cool.
use a hd hooked to one of these:
cheapest option by far.

A Little hard to hook up a Computer to a TV thats in two different rooms of the house. But i am thinking about getting one of these Media Players you guys have been talking about.
I seen that Deal eXtreme has some for under $50 just curious if i should get one of them.

Get the one I mentioned mate. Great little player.
I don’t think Sumvision is available everywhere…Not in Australia at least.
I got one from DealsExtreme and it’s OK.
Just make sure it’s got good reviews!
