Localhost/Opera page at start – want rid

Hi Fellow Hunters:
I am using Windows 7 Opera (latest version) upon starting :
I keep getting a tab with Donate as a label and this address everytime I start up Opera.
Local : file://localhost/C:/Users/<username>/AppData/Local/Microsoft/Windows/Temporary%20Internet%20Files/web.html
I would like to get ride but so far I have failed to remove it. I have ticked showing hidden files and folders in windows but once I reach the file C:/Users/<username>/AppData/Local/Microsoft/Windows i find nothing related.
Any help please.

Check the browsers shortcut in C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs. Make sure that theres no website specified in the program path after the .exe

Sounds like its something in your options.
This is why I would never let anyone use Opera. It is terrible, lmao.

Try opening the exe without a shortcut ie go to its folder in program files.

That seams to work – but it does not remove the problem unless I keep opening as you have said.

Then its the shortcut that’s got the page in it, look at it again
