8Gb ram

I’ve bought few days ago 8gb ddr3 (2x4gb) and tried to put them in the ddr3 slot. Everyrhing was fine until i noticed that the pc wont start. Actually it will, but nothing comes on the screen, no beeps, just the electricitt powering it. Without the new ram it works, maybe i need a more powerful powersuply?

Are you sure your motherboard supports 4GB sticks ?
When you have the new ram in, you have no other ram there at the same time?
Tell us the make and model of motherboard..
Nel is right.
Also, try sticking one module first and see what happens.
oh ddr2 wont work with ddr3 in same time even if motherboard supports both xD
