Seems he wants help building a desktop computer and is asking if his current build is any decent..

imo it works… it’d be better if you posted a budget..
or you could try to be more specific with your post
Answer #4
yes Prox- i meant exactly that ok let me be specific
i work on maya software and need to buy a desktop computer and totally short on cash so this is what i have decided — intel i3 processor 3.0 ghz for 6400 INR that is 127.26$ compatible mother board for 64.62$ ddr3 ram 8 gb for 51.70$ nvidia GTX 460 1gb graphics card for 123.28$ 600 watts power supply and cooler master 430 elite series cabinet and i like music so logitech z5500 for 329.09$. so could you help me make a decision or any alternative like AMD or something.
Answer #5
buy quad core other than tat.. this spec suits ur need!!
as u r short in cash spend the money for stuffs wch u cant upgrade easily like processor n motherboard..
Answer #6
Want my advice forget “intel i3 3.0ghz ———–6400/” buying that CPU and buy minimum i5 CPU I have built an i7 but trust me i3 rubbish pay a little extra and buy an i5 CPU it’s over clockable with the right motherboard plus it will fair you better in any games you play trust me worth the little extra my friend and I build computers…
Answer #7
i5’s are pretty cheap now so if you got the little extra cash i’d say go for it.. I’m not very fond of speakers in general and tend to use headphones… if you’re like me you could take 100$ from the speakers and put on processor..
other then that the comp seems to suit your needs just fine..

Norton, Kaspersky, Both are very good which ever you choose.
Yes your choice of i5 would be better than 3Gig i3 you see I have overclocked my i7 to an amazing 4Gigs with my choice of motherboard ie. Asus p8p67 pro and I can go as far as safely overclocking to an amazing 4.6Gigs with the right cooler and case my cooler is Noctua NH-D14 and my case has 13 fans in total lol that’s including the Noctua and graphics
Answer #10
soldout did you say your case has 13 fans !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! man that’s a monster of a machine

Norton is a resource hog – avoid it like the plague !!!

Having too many fans in the case will do more harm than good.

Fitting too many fans can cause problems because it can upset the airflow inside the case. Ideally, you want cold air to be drawn in from the bottom front of the case, up the tower and then exhaust out the back so the air is drawn over the motherboard.

depends on the case.
If there is lots of ventilation for the pressure to escape then it’s not bad at all.
in that case messing up the airflow doesn’t matter.
I’d rather have a hurricane @10 degrees cooling my pc than a breeze @ 6degrees.
