Program for Documentation

Hey Guys and Gals,
Anyone knows a good software that make’s it easy for me to compile different documents into a single document , it is important that i can also add page numbers and other texts …
Please note that i need to add PDF documents , xls , word and maybe images.

Microsoft Word / Libreoffice Writer? You can add those plus more, charts, tables etc.

but how can i add pdf documents in the word document ?? and can i do backdrops ? as i use word and maybe i dont know how to make thses things … what i’m trying to do is start writing user manuals ..

Why didn’t you say so in the first place, get a PDF editor. Your options are Foxit Phantom and Nitro Pro, Foxit is better imho and cheaper too (although that last part may not bother you considering that you lurk here ) You’ll find them both very versatile, there are trials at their respective websites. You can add PDF files (parts or whole) to a project in a second. Not sure what you mean by “backdrops”, sorry I’m not a native English speaker, if you mean sth like a watermark / background image yes you can do that too, you can even insert video if you like. I’m not sure about xls files, the standard for those is to try to format/optimise the file via excel ( export as delimited text or as PDF formatted for general publishing etc etc) and then insert it to editor. Something different to consider for smaller jobs is a presentation “service” called prezi, like PowerPoint but much more versatile, it can accept every filetype directly. Hope you’ve found the above useful and solved your problem.

You can just use acrobat… right click files you want to compile and choose ” Combine in acrobat…”
