Exactly the same issue.
The link to the spamming website did not work – unfortunatelly…
PCI\VEN_1033&DEV_0194&CC_0C03
That vendor and H-ID seems to refer to the intel chipset for motherboard.
If you go to the intel website you can downl, oad their “chipset driver software”.
Here:
https://downloadcenter.intel.com/product/1145/Intel-Chipset-Software-Installation-Utility
I have already installed the chipset from HP. Would it matter to reinstall the one from Intel’s website?
The intel one is the most current, the “own brand” website ones are often a little… to a lot… out of date.
It has to do with your motherboard used not the cpu, and chipset drivers. Search for the model of your comp or even better which motherboard it uses and usb. Or provide more info.
=Chipset drivers and USB drivers are completely different..
Not if the chipset is made by the same people who make the usb.. and the MB.
Those Id codes SEEM to refer to Intel components – ports, hubs, MB so-and-so..
usb3 ports?
try this
Renesas Electronics USB 3.0 Host Controller Driver
http://h20564.www2.hp.com/hpsc/swd/public/detail?swItemId=ob_108572_1&swEnvOid=4059
or
Intel USB 3.0 Host Controller Driver
http://h20564.www2.hp.com/hpsc/swd/public/detail?swItemId=ob_132256_1
found these googling “hp laptop nec usb drivers”
don’t think the usb3 was intel
as some digging led me to a Renesas driver on intel’s site for desktops
USB 3.0: Renesas Electronics* USB 3.0 Driver USB 3.0: Renesas Electronics* USB 3.0 Driver https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/19880/USB-3-0-Renesas-Electronics-USB-3-0-Driver
VEN_1033 seems to point to NEC/Renesas
