XviD-SAiNTS Release Group Changed From Xvid AVI to x264 MKV?

Doe’s anyone know if this release group has moved away from releasing Xvid AVI in place of x264 MKV ? I only usually download their TV Series like Lost, 24, The O.C, Smallville, Shameless and NCIS and all have been released by Xvid-Saints in Xvid AVI’s except for NCIS Season 10 which has been released as x264 MKV by REWARD ? So doe’s this mean the release group is finally changing from AVI to MKV and which format do you prefer ? The file size was very consistent with Xvid AVI all 40 minute TV Shows would be 350MB and 20 minute dramas would be 150MB but for some reason x264 MKV file sizes ranges quiet a lot 220MB to 280MB

most “scene” groups have moved from XViD to x264/H264, I prefer x264/H264 over XViD because the file size is better oh and quality. your best bet is to encode yourself if you don’t want their encodes.

you will ALWAYS find xvid, as lots of people still like smaller/low quality. search the filestube to see this.
i’ll sometimes download xvid to watch a film on netbook on train. search and ye shall find!

According to XREL (A releases NFO site) the specific group you’re asking about hasn’t released anything
for about a year now (Their last release was on 19.9.2012) so it seems they have retired from the scene!
Set that aside, Most release groups have switched to x264 2 years ago, Where have you been?
Playing XVID’s off your DVD Player is oldschool and nobody does it anymore, These days people use HD Media Players (Along with an External HDD/Flash drive) to watch their shows on the big screen!
Just get one and your problem will be resolved. I assume this is why you’ve made this topic, But I could be wrong.

I still download current running TV Shows from: REWARD, RiVER, FoV, TOPAZ, ORPHEUS, MACRO, CLUE, SAiNTS and previous members to release under them have been iNGOT, HAGGiS. MOTU, TVEP, NOGRP…
I don’t tend to download much except to update the latest boxset seasons that I had previously downloaded and also to complete music discographies but I only have 1 TV show out of 7 that is still running (NCIS) so it really sucks to have a mixture of file formats since every episode has been released by that single release group and I was almost finish I’ve also been looking for Shameless Series 11 DVDRIP by the same release group but haven’t found it yet.. it’s the last in the series so hoping it’s AVI
