Xbox 360 new protection help

Hi, so I was wondering about the new XDG3 xbox discs.
So my xbox 360 is banned from online, and is on Ixtreme 1.6. If I buy original Gears of War 3 and put it in my xbox 360, what will happen?
Will it update my xbox 360 and will I be able to play it?

It will update and you will be able to play. – but not online if you’re already banned.
