USB Write Protection

Ok,I always plug in my pen drive into lots of pc’s to backup drivers etc.And I always get infected by viruses.So I wanted to write protect my pen drive.Unfortunately my pendrive does not have a write protect switch.So I was looking for a software.But all the softwares I found only works for the pc where Im running the software from.And another one is a registry tweak.Im looking for a solution where I can write protect my flash drive so that when I plug it into pc’s,nothing can be deleted or written on it.Something like a CD/DVD.Is there a way to do it.Please help.Thanks.Been googling for 3 hours,tried all the softwares and none of them seem to help me.Im hoping for you guys to help me.Thanks in advance.

you try a partition app like paragon or Acronis partition software
they may have a partition write protect option
to backup drivers etc.
if it’s write protected you won’t be able to back anything up

How To Prevent Windows XP Users From Writing To USB Drives
Open the Registry Editor click on the Start button on your taskbar, then click on Run and type �regedit� and click on OK to start the regedit utility.
Expand HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Control.
From there right click and create a new key and name it �StorageDevicePolicies�. In the window on the right then create a new DWORD value and label it WriteProtect, give it a value of “1” and users can no longer write to USB drives. To re-enable this option change the value to 0 and users are again allowed to write.
The modifications you made will be in effect after you reboot your PC. you would have to do this on each PC before you mount the drive

Not necessarily drivers.Everytime I plug my pen drive into an infected pc,all my softwares get infected.I dont want to set every pc I plug my drive into.That wasted my time.Im looking for a software that acts like the write protection “switch” that are on certain pen drives and Sd cards.Im not looking for registry tweaks.Just a software that will be in my pendrive and does not allow anything to be written or deleted on it untill I disable the write protection function

Bro,im not looking for an anti virus or to protect my pc from viruses.Im looking for a software the allows me to enable WRITE PROTECTION on my portable drives such as a pen drive.This is because viruses or whatever it is will not alter/delete/modify my existing files.Thus my pen drive will be virus free as the virus will not be able to write anything on my drive
