xbox 360 modding info

January 25th, 2020

I want to get an xbox 360 and want to know the best options out there to play downloaded games on it. Here is the questions that i have.
1, Are all current xbox 360 drives flashable?
2, Is there a way to put the downloaded games on the hard drive and play from there? (if not would it be best for me to get the arcade version since I only want the harddrive to store downloaded games?)
3, I want to use a product called XCM crossfire on it to use my ps3 controller on it will this work on a flashed xbox 360.

Answer #1
Pretty sure all dvd drives are flashable…New firmware out 1.6…Can play games off hard drive but must have the game in there at same time but works much quicker and a lot quieter then the disc running all the time…dont know about xcm
Answer #2
it has to be the original game in the system or can a be one burned to a disk?

It can be burned game, but there is no way that I know of to play games just off the harddrive, as far as I know you always have to have the disc in the console.

where can i read more on flashing newer xbox 360 models and more specifically what I have to do to get the feature of play games just off the harddrive ?
I have searched around but only found info on flashing older drives.

you can not play games straight off hard drive you need disc in so it picks up dvd ini file…plenty of things on google about for flashing firmware i know liton are hardest to do… I would get a pro to do it if you want to keep your warranty….

If anyone takes apart your Xbox 360 your WILL lose your warranty with Microsoft.
Liteon drive is supposedly the hardest to do you need a com port on your pc to read the drive key. And a probe to get the key from your drive. If you have someone local who can do it for less than 50 then do it. As to get most of the tools to take it apart and flashing it (using new team Xecuter stuff and SATA card) can be just as expensive as getting someone who does it all the time. 50 price comes from kit from www.mrmodchips.co.uk
I’ll leave it to you though.
