Would it be possible for me to change my graphics card?
September 2nd, 2017
-1gb DDR2 RAM
-120gb HDD
-AMD Turion64 x2
-ATI Radeon Xpress 1100 256mb
-Running Windows Media Centre Edition 2005
Would it be possible for me to remove my graphics card and install a new GeForce 8800GT or 8600GT?
Thanks
I doubt since it’s a branded laptop, else if you can it will cost you dearly!
Personally I think installing any 8800 series would bottleneck your system. And those cards are huge, definitely will not be able to fit into a laptop
id say 99% of the time, you cannot replace the GFX card on a laptop, also cuz there is no market for it.

Correct, All graphics cards that are in laptop systems are usually unchangable and your stuck with it. About the only thing I can see you doing is upgrading the ram to 2/4 gbs, and maybe even the cpu but im not so sure about that, Of course you have harddrive but in all reality that doesnt help on performance.
OK thanks a lot…
No prob, If you are thinking about upgrading and your in the us then try out
www.newegg.com or www.tigerdirect.com
thats where you can get parts for your laptop.i wont be possible mate!
those graphic card really produce hell ofa heat and require a good cooling system for heat xchange
they could easily smoke ur laptop.
i dont think it will even be avaliable for the laptop.
since the desktop version is too expensive
so theelapton version would be too much high (3x)

Yeah in simple words, No its not possible. Hope that wraps up all the confusion.
I doubt the possibility because its a laptop with only embedded gpu capability’s and it would only be possible to change the gpu, unless you ask the company and pay a ridiculous price.
Otherwise buy a dell xps or a alienware next time because they have insert able parts
Hmm Those are good but check voodoo! I want a computer from them so bad!!!

I’d suggest if you really wanted, sell your laptop and get a desktop (if possible)
Yeah, that’s what I was thinking of doing but I need some extra cash$$$
try overclock your card a little bit by bit until your happy..replace laptop videocard no market for it so fat i know.
good luck.
