Answer #1
try disconnect your connection and reconnect it, try testing the bandwidth signal rate, walls will decrease your wireless strength
Answer #2
Is your laptop free of viruses and spyware, adware etc? What sort of firewall/anti-v are you using? Also, Is your network secured or open?
Without these details we cannot help! This could be all manner of things.
Answer #3
oh ya,as the pal said, is your wireless connection enabled firewall and security protected?
Answer #4
make sure ur SSID name isnt some “default”… like name of the wlan router etc., bcouse it could collide with other Wnetworsk with the same name.
change it to something specific to u, make sure uve got WPA security enabled.
try 2 ping ur router (in CMD type: ping 192.168.1.1 or whichever is your router adress). if packets get through, youre connected 2 router.
now uve got to determine do u have connection to the internet. Aside from trying to open your browser, try to ping some internet adresses from CMD, ie. ping www.google.com
if u cant reach internet (DNS) try customizing IP/DNS adresses.
control panel – network connections – wirelles network connection – right click – properties – select “TCP/IP” and click Properties – enter IP/DNS adresses manualy (or if theyre set on MANUAL, change it to Auomatically, so DHCP arranges it)….

That’s odd, If anything it should be the other way around!
Maybe it’s your actual mains supply that is the problem, But that is beyond us I think!
