Windows Won’t Load Disks?
August 5th, 2013
I tried a few other disks to see if it was the disk but it wasn’t that. I can’t find the disk in My Computer or anything. What do i do?
Do you see your CD drive in my computer?
Probably a hardware issue.
If not, open your case, and plug the CD drive into a different SATA port, and make sure its connected well at the base.
Ok so in my device manager both my ” HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GT31N ” & ” HP VIRTUAL CD 4507 USB DEVICE ” have this error:
Windows cannot start this hardware device because its configuration information (in the registry) is incomplete or damaged. (Code 19)
I don’t know which one runs regular CDROM’s but how do I fix this? I tried uninstalling > scanning for hardware properties but that didn’t do anything. It said the driver wasn’t installed properly?
Edit – I’m running a laptop, can’t open it up and do that. :\
uninstall both, then restart.
Shuffle. replied: Edit - I'm running a laptop, can't open it up and do that. :\
Would be nice to provide details in the original post, especially important ones =(
