Windows Explorer Keeps Crashing

January 25th, 2020

Alright. Not sure what I have done wrong, but ever since last night whenever I try to open any folders (my documents, music, pictures, etc) I get this –

First thought; Spyware/Adware. So I ran a Norton 2009 Full System Scan and Found NOTHING. I then ran Spybot Search And Destroy and found a few things, fixed them all though.
Anyway, If I click Yes OR No to that message, it runs FireFox and sends me to some obvious scamming website. (I can include that if needed)
Then a few seconds later Windows Explorer Crashes, and needs to be restarted.
This is the error for it – Problem signature:
  Problem Event Name:   APPCRASH
  Application Name:   explorer.exe

It’s exactly the same every time, except for the Timestamp of course.
So I did a search on the ntdll.dll and got this –

I don’t know what to do from this point
Advice VERY MUCH APPRECIATED!

Answer #1
dont know if this will help but ive had this same sort of problem, and the only way around it is check all recent software
programs recently installd on to pc. ie so you can narrow down the sorce. and check temp files this is were all your net folders live and often store virousis.down load malware antibites spyware program its ~ censored ~ awsome. update norton then run full scan of pc.also turn of restore and you net conection in order to stop the infecthion. if and when you think pc is clean cary on as per norm. and then try restoring pc from back up this will give you a clean run of windows hope this helps.
