DVD Read Error (1048) is that the disc that you are using is a dvd+r. First generation models could read the formats dvd+r & dvd-r. Due to mod-chip and other form of hacking the system, Nintendo has place much limitations to the system, and one of them is to playdvd+r.

Hi, here's my prob , when i try to launch New Mario Bros Wii im having error with NeoGamma saying "Error DVD 1048" , does anyone know how to fix it? im using the latest version of NeoGamma R8! using Verbatim dvds with ImgBurn Burned at 2x Speed also the iso i downloaded i think it was already patched! any idea ?? Thansk
new super mario brothers has piracy protection, you should patch it before burning.

some people say that wii can only read Dvd-R .. but anyway the old version of wii can read them cuz all the game i burned my friend can play them! so prolly its because i can’t bypass the Dvd rom! i guess the only option im having is by Usb! Thanks for help
