What is the correct method on choosing music themes

I’m developing an iPhone game and I am having a hard time figuring out the music theme and how do make the music. I don’t even know where to start on how to make it (sing it outloud). What is a step by step process on making music? Theme is puzzle music.

You may first want to play other games that are pretty similar to the one that you are making. Find out what kind of music are they using and what sound effects they use.
After you establish that, you should get a general idea on what the music / sound effects you want to use.
There are programs out there that allow you to make your own music / sound effects. However, this isn’t my department to comment on what program to use. Someone else here may be of some help to you.
