what format does ps2’s run?

well basicly i am burning off films on to dvds and when i go to put then in the ps2 in school to watch it cant read it
1)what format is it you need for it to play
2) how do i convert it ive got (Allok 3GP PSP MP4 iPod Video Converter) atm
3) a link to download it if you can cheers
