Volume fix.

February 5th, 2020

I use a Lenovo G560.
Recently I have been having problems with the feather buttons on the right-top corner of the keyboard. They keep getting the volume up and down continuously.
I couldn’t work my way around that, so here’s a workaround. Is there a way I can fix the volume on my laptop to say 50%? And it won’t change unless I manually change the settings?
And a thank you in advance.

I don’t think that’s possible, But even if it is, It’s not the right solution if you ask me.
Have you tried to gently lift those keys up with a small flat screwdriver? It’s certainly worth a try I’d say!
If that doesn’t do the trick, You could just have the keyboard replaced (Source it from ebay) it should be fairly inexpensive. Refer to your laptop’s service manual for the how-to & parts list:

The available keyboards and their part numbers are listed in Lenovo G560>Parts list>Keyboard
Good luck!

If you’re unable to fix it physically, you could also try seeing if you’re able to unbind the softkeys, using something like SharpKeys
