Vista repair

hey guys,
My laptop with vista installed is running like crap.
Slow…..Freezes..etc
Whats the best program to help me clean and repair the issues?

Get CCleaner its freeware, use it to clean temp files, clean registry, remove stuff from starting when Windows starts. Then go here to learn which services to turn off so you can speed up the OS

Then do disk defrag, and look at your system processes start to notice which ones use most resources could be the ones causing it to freeze up ad run slow. Vista by itself is a slow OS….best solution is to either install Windows 7 or downgrade to XP or install Linux.

Install Windows 7…its way better than Vista
as of now…download Tune up utilities or CCleaner and try clearing all the cookies history registry and everything…see if that helps
and download a good anti-virus program like Kaspersky or Avast

i’ve seen Vista and 7 running on 2 separate laptops with almost identical configurations and Win 7 is a LOT lighter, try it out

Maybe vista isn’t experiencing an illness. Maybe the laptop itself is unfit.
ie; do you have a crappy laptop?
Provide the hardware information:
Processor and graphics chip.
